30 years on, Chris Pringle reminisces about his maiden over

Chris Pringle was the first person in ODI cricket to successfully defend two runs in a final over, when he bowled a maiden over to Australia’s Bruce Reid during a 1990/91 World Series game in Hobart.

For me personally, it was my first real great memory of cricket, as well as the first time I can remember New Zealand beating the Aussies, and a moment that spurred on my love for the game and made me a fan for life! It is also the inspiration for the Maiden Over t-shirt from my Pixel Tees collection.

So, with the 30th anniversary of that game coming up on the 18th of this month, Chris has kindly agreed to join me to take us for a walk down memory lane behind the scenes of the over that has earned him a place in Kiwi sporting folklore or at least mine!

I hope you enjoy it!
